current ADVENTURE TRIP offerings:

Wilderness Ridge Adventures

We've been honing our craft with staff-only adventures over the last 3 years, garnering expertise from those already in the field, and are pleased to announce that Camp Wilderness Ridge will begin offering travelling excursions for teen campers in 2016.

We believe that through extended experiences in the backcountry, youth connect with the Lord of All Creation in an even deeper way than when they're within sight of a telephone pole or within earshot of a highway.

Our excursions are limited in size to 12 campers and supervised by 3 trained Servant-Leaders, so that the potential for developing a strong community and sharing lives together is maximized.

We've dialed in our costs to ensure that we're sticking to our commitment to providing a Christ-centeredaffordable wilderness experience to young men. The depth of experience that your son will achieve on our Adventures will be well worth the price.

Check out our Spring & Summer trips and additional details below, and please contact me if I can answer any questions!

Yours in Christ,

Who are adventures for?

Generally, all of our adventures trips are for boys ages 13-17, and in some cases, their fathers.

We are open to guys as young as 13 who are ready for the challenge. The main qualification is a level maturity enough to live in harmony with 11 other teens on an extended trip so far from home. Some younger guys can handle that, and others need to wait a couple of years. You, as the parent, would be the best judge of that. Additionally, all of our trips are moderately strenuous backpacking trips where boys will be carrying at least 40-pound packs and hiking as much as 8-10 miles per day with elevation gain.

We recommend that everyone is getting some form of cardiovascular exercise leading up to the trip and at least takes the time to wear the boots and pack they will be bringing around prior to arrival.
