Katy Bible Church Family Camp

Katy Bible has been with us since the early days of Camp Wilderness Ridge, and they know how to do a family camp right.  Every Fall they come out to camp to get away from the daily grind and reconnect with one another and God, through worship, prayer, sharing of testimonies, breaking of bread and fellowship.  The result is obvious, as it was easy to see that their community is strong.  They love and serve one another well!

And they've got some cool traditions too, like roasting a whole pig for 24 hours, sitting around the fire and jamming on guitars while monitoring the pig progress, and a dutch oven cobbler competition.  Yeah, it was a pretty delicious weekend.  Check out the photos below.

One of KBC's yearly traditions is slow roasting a pig from Friday afternoon to Saturday evening.  This was the first year they've attempted it in an oak-fired smoker, and it came out delicious.  We're looking forward to leftovers. ;-)
