Happy Thanksgiving from Camp Wilderness Ridge!

We are thankful...

...for the last twenty-seven years of serving our Lord & Savior Christ Jesus!!! We are blessed by the opportunity to invest in boys and young men, to teach them about Jesus and how to become REAL men of God.

...for one of the most exciting Summer Camp seasons yet! This year we ramped up training for staff & volunteers, and it paid off big. We also debuted Father/Son Camp, which was a blast!

...for the success of this past season of retreats & campouts. Nearly every weekend from August to Thanksgiving was full of . We are thankful to serve new communities such as Marriage Encounter Central Texas, Launch Global, and the Hispano Life ministry of HCBC Austin. It's also good to have the Texas State BYX (Brothers Under Christ) fraternity back at camp after about 5 years!

...for the new Outdoor Wilderness Learning (OWL) program, through which 7 Bastrop-area homeschool boys are learning more about God through diving deeper into studying His creation.

...that God has walked with us through many challenges including the devastating wildfire that took away our facilities in September 2011 but not the firmly established mission to serve boys, young men, and men to follow us as we follow Christ Jesus.

...for the amazing provision of gifts and volunteers to rebuild and renew the facilities, activities, and land of Camp Wilderness Ridge. Our latest development is the Lake Pavilion Rebuild Project, which is almost 90% funded and nearly complete!

...to all the parents, campers, SALT'ees and servant-leaders of Camp Wilderness Ridge, we are thankful to you.

We are thankful for FlintCo Construction Services, who mobilized their vendors and dug deep in their own pockets to give CWR a new camp truck several canoes, & life jackets!

We are thankful for the provision of gifts & skills to make HUGE progress on rebuilding the facilities lost in the 2011 Bastrop Complex Fire

We are thankful for our 2014-2015 Apprentice, Daniel Benoit.

We are thankful for many groups of volunteers, such as the Texas A&M Sociology Department & students.

We are thankful for the opportunities to help fathers connect to their sons.

We are thankful to serve the local homeschool community through our Outdoor Wilderness Learning (OWL) program.
