Too Cool Adventure Race

This past Saturday (January 24), we helped host The Big Chill Race for Too Cool Racing.

Video from Dustin Branton, participant in the 2015 Big Chill Race. You can see the tomawhawk-throwing section at CWR starting at 2:40.

Saturday was a great day for an adventure race. The weather was incredible, and everyone seemed to be having a great time by the time they pulled into camp!

Upon arriving at Camp Wilderness Ridge, racers would drop off their bikes, then run through the trails of camp to find their way to three separate checkpoints:

  1. Archery (in Marksmanship Area)
  2. Low Ropes Tower (outside of the Oaks Village)
  3. Tomahawks (relocated to Group Primitive Camping Area)

I managed to get some photos of the checkpoints, check them out below:

This was our second year working with Too Cool Adventure Racing, and we look forward to many more! We love doing events like this, as well as church retreats, team-building  or high ropes challenge, and other made-to-order events.

Drop me a line if you know of a church or organization who would love to put together a or other special event. We can accommodate to groups of any size and type of activity!

Thanks,

Jeremy Thomasson
Director of Retreats & Events
