We’re thankful for your generous support of Camp Wilderness Ridge! Please join us praying…each week of summer camp to have the maximum number of campers (48) per week…that God provide the summer staff needed to serve the campers.

There are still openings at Camp Wilderness Ridge (CWR) this summer. You can go CWR Summer Camp is a fast-paced outdoor adventure experiences designed to develop leadership, teamwork, service, responsibility and trustworthiness. Our purpose is to lead boys to Christ Jesus through Bible explorations and discussions in God’s creation. The price for Woodsman (boys ages 7-12) and Ranger Adventure Camp (guys 13-16) is only $375 for the week plus “first time” campers receive a $50 discount. Camp capacity is 48 campers per week. The 3 acre lake provides fishing and canoeing. Spread over 135 acres is archery and rifle ranges, GaGa Pit, 9 Square in the Air, High Ropes elements (Commando Bridge, Climbing Wall and dual zip lines plus “The Screamer”) and several low ropes elements too. Also swimming, hikes, Outdoor Wilderness Learning (OWL) Center, plus challenge events and group games nightly keep our campers on the go!. Each night we circle-up around a camp fire under the stars to learn of the Creator and His love for us.

You can earn a $25 discount for a “first time” camper referral which you can use to reduce your camp price or apply to further reduce that “first time” camper’s price or apply it to the CWR Scholarship Fund.


Summer Staff Needed

Servant-Leaders (men 18 to 99 years old) primary function is to lead a group eight campers with a SALT’ee, serving and leading them which would include Bible explorations, devotions, and prayer time. Encouragement and participation in activities throughout the day is another part of a Servant-Leader’s responsibility. Servant And Leadership Trainees (SALT) for young men, 14-17 years old is another staff opportunity which could include these areas: Kitchen/Restroom Showers Work Crew, Grounds, Games & Setup & Overseer, Cabin Assistant (Junior Counselor) and Lifeguard (15+).

We need help in the kitchen to assist the Cook prepare meals. Other summer staff needs are as follow: Worship Leader, Videographer, Photographer, Health Center & Safety Coordinator (18+), Lifeguard (16+), Program Intern (18+), and SALT Director (19+)

Spring Retreats and Campout 2013

We’ve served 11 churches, receiving very positive feedback on the experience.

Thank you Jeremy Thomasson, University of North Texas, Recreation & Leisure Major has completed his internship (January 15 – April 11) at CWR. Jeremy has done incredible job and had a tremendous impact during this time. Jeremy is headed home to graduate from UNT, help his dad in his refrigeration company and to prepare for September marriage. He is interested in joining the CWR staff. Please pray accordingly for Jeremy.


A great weekend

The CWR staff (Shawn, Bryan, Alex, and Jeremy) in the high mountains of New Mexico. The guys stated, “an incredible weekend of personal reflection, bonding as a team, physical challenge, and exploring a new part of God’s amazing creation”.
