We're very excited for the Spring Break Day Camps beginning on Monday! Here is some info you need to know:
Health Profile / Registration:
If you haven't already completed the health profile and registration questions, please log in and do so before Monday.
*** If you're getting hung up on the insurance card, remember that you can bring us a copy of this card on the first day of camp.
If you haven't paid your balance, we strongly recommend you log in and make payment online to save time at drop off.
Drop Off / Pick up:
Each day, campers may be dropped off from 7:15AM to 8:00AM, and picked up from 5:00PM to 5:30PM. On the registration form you should have picked one of these three locations:
Camp Wilderness Ridge (see attached Updated Driving Directions)
Smithville Elementary School (in parking lot next to Administration Building & athletic field)
Mina Elementary in Bastrop (main parking area on the corner of Hill Street & Beech Street)
If your child requires regular medication that must be administered while at camp, please indicate this on the Health Profile. All meds must be in a ziplock baggie with the camper's name on them. Please include instructions on when and how much should be administered. Meds will be stored in a refrigerator and returned to parents at the end of each day.
Each day during our afternoon break, campers will have the option of visiting our camp store and purchasing an additional snack item. Options are: bottled Gatorade, sweet snack, salty snack. Each of these items are $.50, and campers can only purchase one from each category (We don't want to load them up on sweets before we send them home! -- Also fresh fruit may be substituted for any of the categories.) We also will have camp t-shirts and hats ($5-10) and sunglasses and glow-in-the-dark bracelets ($3) for sale. Feel free to send your camper with the amount of canteen money you feel appropriate. Upon pick up at any of the locations, we'll put any canteen money in an envelope with the camper's name on it, and this will only be brought out during the afternoon break. Any remainder will be returned at the end of the week or donated to the Camper Scholarship Fund.
What Else To Bring:
Be sure to put your child's name on everything they're bringing! Please refrain from bringing toys, electronic devices, knives, or any sort of firework or weapon.
sunscreen (remember to apply before camp!)
For younger campers, it may be helpful to bring a small snack for the morning like a granola bar or piece of fruit. For some campers, this helps them maintain energy through the day.
We're looking forward to a great week with your campers!
Please let me know if you have any other questions or if I can be of assistance in any other way!
