Will you give to Camp Wilderness Ridge (CWR) so it can stand in the gap?

Psalm 68:3-6

“The statistics are depressing, and the emotional fallout staggering. The day is fast approaching when a child growing up with two loving, functioning parents will be vastly outnumbered by those living in single-parent homes or with dysfunctional, emotionally absent parents. Although a single parent certainly can be effective and loving, her or his job is difficult at best. Inevitably, there are gaps in the child’s life where the other parent should function.
This comforting passage tells us that God has a specific place in His heart for the orphans, the fatherless, and those who know loneliness and abandonment. Jesus taught us how to have an intimate relationship with God as Father (Matthew 6). Paul taught that one of the works of the Holy Spirit in the believer’s heart is to assure us of our status as children of God (Romans 8:1516). Profoundly intimate, this new relationship is expressed by an invitation to call God, “Abba”, or “Daddy.”. If your earthly parents have mistreated or abandoned you or if you’re struggling to be both Dad and Mom to your children, know that your heavenly Father’s love is great enough to fill all the gaps and heal the wounds.”

It reminded me of Nehemiah 4:7-14 building the wall and repairing the “gaps”. Enemy was at work discouraging: held trowels in one hand and sword in the other as they built.

But the most powerful verse is Ezekiel 22:30, “So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one.”

“Jesus ever lives to make intercession for the saints.” Hebrews 7:25

The close of Malachi speaks of sending the prophet Elijah to “turn hearts of the fathers to the children and hearts of children to their fathers…” Malachi 4:5-6
